About

Born in Ukraine in 1981, Greg came to america in 1990. Raised in staten island new york, he began attending the NYC tunnel parties in the early 2000’s. Raised on a steady diet of harder edged new york city rave music, he branched out to following and eventually remixing The Panacea (position chrome), and DJ Luna-C (Knite Force). Around the same time circa 2005 Greg linked up with fellow producer and DJ AC Slater. AC introduced Greg to more of a melting pot sort of electronic sound that borrowed from every genre, inlcuding old school piano rave, house, breaks, drum and bass etc..

From 2007 on Greg decided to go by the name of Udachi and produce and push this sound that is more akin to as Tommie Sunshine would put it “Armageddon fidget rave”. His main influences run the gamut from the likes of Hellfish, Boxcutter, Penta, The Panacea, to Drop the Lime, Crookers, Digitalism etc..

Recently Udachi’s achievements include an upcoming release on Trouble and Bass with the track “JellyRoll”, and a remix of Audio Bullys “Dope Fiend” along with the legendary brooklyn based Tommie Sunshine. The Dope Fiend remix has been been making it’s rounds on Kissy Sell Outs Radio show on BBC, and appears on the Jack Beats fabric live mix, and has been touted by DMC magazine as “Heavy hitter talks drugs and lifestyle. Tommie Sunshine and Udachi remix is amazing and could be the killer remix of 2009.”

His premiere remix of AC Slater’s “Jack got Jacked” Has been liscenced to be used in the compilation “Relax it wont hurt” mixed by Tommie Sunshine on Ultra Records. Udachi has also remixed Chicago’s own Jason Tyler, and his track “Run Around”. Udachi’s upcoming material includes a heavy bass remix of Rico Tubb’s “It Get’s No Better” a single along side Jess Jubilee for the nighshifters label. A future EP for Palms Out and fledgling label Party Like Us Records run by AC Slater.

Udachi loves all aspects of electronic dance music culture, he hopes to branch out to other genre’s of music, constantly learning and refining his sound.
